What does drum recording involve?
It is a service aimed at musicians, producers, or composers who need to record drums for their songs. Based on their needs, I record from my studio with the highest quality and deliver the recordings online, anywhere in the world.
Who plays and records the drums?
I do. Santiago Schlesinger, owner of Korp Studio. With over 30 year of experience, I focus in achieving a real sound that suits your needs.
How much does it cost to record drums?
I have 3 options with 3 different prices per song, that allow you to have a professional sound at an affordable rate in short time.
My local currency is not the US dollar, is that a problem?
Not at all. The paymet options are available for any currency.
Does a different price mean different sound?
No. Everything is recorded with the full equipment and maximum quality. Difference in prices affects only the number of takes and the posibility of revisions.
Is there a meeting previous to the recording?
Yes. It is key that we are able to have a video call or a call in order to fully understand what you need..
How is the recording sent?
You will receive a wetransfer link that will allow you to download each individual track, one per microphone.
Does the recording get mixed?
No. You will receive the recording as it was captured with a minor editing if necesary, ready for you to be able to mix it.
Do the tracks get any type of processing?
No. You receive the recording as it was captured so you can process it with EQ, compression and effects.
How many tracks – stems will I receive?
Aproximately 10. 1 for the bass drum, 1 for the snare, 2 overheads, 5 toms and 1 room.
Is the format of the tracks – stems compatible with any DAW?
Yes. The stems are mono files in WAV format, compatible with any DAW.
If I don’t like something of the recording, can I request a revision?
Yes. With the Silver and Gold plans.
Can I listen previously to a recording?
Sure! In the SOUND section of this website, you can listen to the individual microphones for a specific recording as well as fully composed, recorded and produced songs by me in the studio.
I have an almost finished song but with no drums whatsoever. Can you help me?
Sure! I can compose the drums for your song. Contact me and we can talk about it.
Does the song I send have to be recorded with a metronome – click?
Yes. It is necessary for me to be able to record and excelent drum take.
What do I have to send for my recording?
i) An stereo audio file in WAV format of your song WITHOUT DRUMS. ii) An stereo audio file in WAV format of ONLY THE DRUMS of your song(programmed, midi, loops, etc…). iii) The bit/Sample rate of your project. iv) The tempo of your project in BPMs.
To record my drums, does my song need to be produced and finalized?
No, not at all.
How long does it take to get my recording?
Between 2 and 3 working days although I will always try to deliver as soon as possible.
Do I get my recording with mastering?
No. But if you want mastering for your project, I recommend you do it with Colombia’s top company, winner of several Latin Grammy awards, C1 Mastering – http://www.c1mastering.com
